Daniel Farke has sent out defiant message as Leeds United aim to stay up in the Premier League. Farke’s side has notched up 11 points in nine games so far.
Farke’s men are set to face fellow relegation rivals Brighton tomorrow. The two teams are separated by just a solitary point. Leeds are 15th while Brighton occupy the 13th slot.

With a quarter of the Premier League under the belt, early relegation assessments have been made by the media and fans alike. But Farke doesn’t believe in trends or coincidences.
Farke defiant about Leeds United chances
Speaking to the media ahead, Farke revealed he would be feeling relaxed if they had more points under their belt.
“I would be a bit more relaxed if we had taken all the points we deserved from those matches.”, he added.
The manager feels its performances that matter and not past trends and history.
“Its never a guarantee you will stay up because it has always happened so far”, exclaimed the manager. Farke was referencing to the fact that promoted teams who have reached 11 points in nine games have always survived the drop.
Despite being on a statistical threshold of previous trends, safety is always not a guarantee. Leeds United have a tough run of games in November.
Trends and form can change with tough fixtures
Post finishing up with Brighton, they will face another straggler in Nottingham Forest.
A visit from Aston Villa will be followed by a trip to Manchester City. Hosting duties with Chelsea and Liverpool will tie up November for the Whites. All four of these teams are in the top of half of the table. None of them
Therefore, any previous trend theory can be destroyed with poor results in these games.
Historically reaching 40-points is a goal for teams. But even that hasn’t always ensured safety. West Ham United reached 42 points in the 2002-03 season. Finishing 18th, the team suffered a relegation.
However two years later, West Bromwich survived the drop with just 34 points. Hence, its an unpredictable game.
Ideally, Leeds will look to gain as many points as possible in November. Try to bolster their attacking options in January. And then finish the season on a strong note.
The attacking flair and creativity is already present. The defensive goods have shown glimpses. The team just needs to show it upfront as well.
