Liverpool defender Jeremie Frimpong will miss next Tuesday’s Champions League match between the Reds and Real Madrid with a hamstring injury which will keep him out for the next six weeks. The right-back spot is a weakness for both teams, but former Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold will be expected to at least play some minutes at Anfield.
Frimpong was a crucial player for Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso when the two of them were at Bayer Leverkusen, so the Dutch defender will be an important absence for Liverpool as he knows how the Spanish coach likes his team to operate.
In his absence, Conor Bradley will likely replace him in the starting lineup. Bradley lacks Frimpong’s experience, so it will be interesting to see if Vinicius Junior will be able to take advantage of that when the two European giants meet in a decisive Champions League match next Tuesday.
