Fabian Hurzeler sees special talent as ‘similar to Bukayo Saka’

**Fabian Hurzeler**had his say on a 2-0 loss for **Brighton**against **Arsenal**in the Carabao Cup.

The Seagulls stepped up the pressure on their hosts in the first half, letting big chances for **Stefanos Tzimas**and Georginio Rutter go amiss in the opening ten minutes of the match. The favourites found their rhythm after the break, bagging goals through Ethan Nwaneri and Bukayo Saka.

It was again a case of lapses in the boxes being the downfall for Hurzeler’s men, and the head coach commented constructively on the performance, praising a teenage sensation in the opposition ranks.

“I think we weren't able to score and we weren't able to defend in the in the most important action, especially in the second half. I think that was the first shot on the goal from Arsenal and we didn't defend well. The small margins defending the edge of the box, defending the goals, we can do better/

“If you don't score goals and if you don't defend and keep the clean sheet, you can't win it.

“We tried it hard. Of course, we all would love to score. This all gives the team and the individual players like self-confidence, but in the end, we weren't able to do it. So, we have to keep on working hard. We need to give the players the right support to do it better the next time.

“We started well in the second half. We had also one two chances and of course the goal from Arsenal changed the game and then it's not easy to score goals here like we all know.”

“*Max Dowman**is a good player, similar to Bukayo Saka. We try to prepare our team the best we can. The profiles are not that different: we try to prepare our players as a group the best way we can but you do not always know who's playing. When you see the starting eleven, you can give small advice.”*
