Mikel Arteta provides William Saliba and Martinelli injury updates ahead of Arsenal facing Burnley

Mikel Arteta held his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of Arsenal taking on Burnley in the Premier League.

The Gunners head into the meeting on the back of a superb run of form, setting a record not managed by Manchester United or Liverpool.

Arsenal are leading the Premier League title race as a result and have lost just one league match all season.

They now take on a Burnley team who have been in decent form of late, winning two on the spin.

Mikel Arteta provides William Saliba injury update before Arsenal face Burnley

Ahead of the clash, Mikel Arteta gave a number of updates during his presser.

William Saliba has been injured and missed the Carabao Cup win over Brighton in midweek.

The Spaniard gave an update on the centre-back on Friday. Arteta also commented on Gabriel Martinelli after he missed out against the Seagulls.

He revealed that Martinelli is expected to miss the Burnley tie and that Saliba is a doubt, but could make it.

Meanwhile, Kai Havertz,Noni Madueke and Martin Odegaard could be back for the north London derby.

Pundits make Burnley vs Arsenal score predictions

As expected, Arsenal are backed to beat Burnley when the two teams clash at Turf Moor.

TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, predicts a 1-0 win for the away side.

He said: “Scott Parker’s side are really showing up for him, this is not an easy game for Arsenal but the champions-elect get the win… just.”

Meanwhile, former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg is expecting ‘a comfortable afternoon for Arsenal’, who he thinks will come away with a 3-0 victory.
