If there is any consolation prize for another rough season for the New York Giants, it's crystal clear — now more than ever — they have found a franchise quarterback.
Since taking over as the starter back in Week 4, Jaxson Dart has injected new energy and excitement around the Giants that their fans haven't seen in a really long time. This is also all happening with star wide receiver Malik Nabers and, most recently, running back and fellow rookie running back phenom Cam Skattebo.
With the former first-rounder proving he’s Big Blue’s guy through his first five NFL starts, Dart earned well-deserved recognition for his rapid ascension.
Giants QB Jaxson Dart named Offensive Rookie of the Month
Is anyone really surprised Dart took home Offensive Rookie of the Month honors for October? After a strong first five starts, the 22-year-old gunslinger earned the NFL’s top rookie nod on offense — a pretty easy choice if you ask me, after quite literally putting up numbers no other QB in the Super Bowl era has.

Dart has passed for 984 yards with 12 touchdowns (four rushing) with just three interceptions. He is also completing nearly 60% of his passes and leads the rookie class with said 12 total touchdowns.
Seeing the former Ole Miss standout sling it has honestly just been exciting to watch. The young signal-caller has shown great poise in the pocket and under center, and he has showcased his strong arm and running ability, making him a much more dangerous quarterback.
Big Blue may be 2-6 (for the third straight season) and is in danger of finishing in last place in the NFC East for the second consecutive season, but you can't pin any of the blame for New York's woes on the young quarterback.
Despite being without two elite playmakers, Dart has been giving it his all with very little help. Expect some more rookie acknowledgement coming his way this year... wait, Rookie of the Year — what?! And at full strength next season, expect a lot more hardware stocking the shelves.
