Analyst Believes 1 NBA Team Has To ‘Blow It Up’

The NBA season is only a week old, but there are already some narratives taking hold of the league.

One of them revolves around the Sacramento Kings, who lost to the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.

Following that 126-113 defeat, Jake Weinbach said that what many Kings fans are thinking: it’s time to break this team down and build it back up from scratch.

“The Kings are directionless, without an identity, and now 1-4 to start the season. It’s time for Sacramento to blow it up,” Weinbach posted on X.

On paper, this is a team with a ton of potential.

Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Dennis Schroder, Malik Monk, and Domantas Sabonis are all bright stars who could help out a number of teams.

Plus, the Kings have young upstarts like Keon Ellis, Keegan Murray, and others.

On top of all that, they recently signed future Hall of Famer Russell Westbrook.

Sacramento is packed with proven and exciting players, but they are still in a bad spot, and they may need a complete blow-up to make things right.

That option is definitely on the table, and the front office is surely thinking of what they can do before the trade deadline.

If things continue at this pace, nearly anyone on the roster could be on the table for a trade.

But it remains to be seen who would go, who would stay, and what sort of identity the Kings would attempt to build.

They could start to accumulate wins and get better, but if they don’t, the chorus of people calling on the Kings to blow things up will only grow larger.
