Marcus Rashford's unseen impact at Barcelona with Man Utd outcast making a splash

Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has lauded Marcus Rashford's performances in training since his move from Manchester United, describing him as 'unstoppable'. Rashford made the switch to the Spanish champions on a season-long loan last summer, with an option for a permanent transfer at £26.2million. The forward has already netted five goals and provided seven assists in just 13 appearances for Hansi Flick's side this season.

Rashford himself has expressed his wish to make his move to Barcelona permanent when the season concludes. This sentiment is echoed by sporting director Deco, who insists the club is pleased with his progress. Szczesny is the latest figure to sing praises of the England international, offering insight into Rashford's attitude and performance behind the scenes.

In an interview with Barcelona's official YouTube channel, the former Arsenal shot-stopper shared his admiration for the forward.

"He's an excellent player, I love him a lot," he said. "Direct in his play, attacks with speed, and he's contributed to a lot of goals.

"I think he's a complete player, and I remember him since he was 18 or 19 in the Premier League. I knew he was special back then.

"He has fewer goals than he deserves, because in training, when he's having a good day, you can't stop him. If he shows that magical right foot more in matches, he'll be very dangerous."

Szczesny's glowing remarks about Rashford's training performance follow further commendation at Aston Villa.

After joining in the January transfer window, the forward contributed to 10 goals in 17 matches before an injury limited his playtime.

Cole Brannigan, a youth striker who frequently trained with Rashford, confessed in a chat with The News Letter that the United loanee is 'by far the best player' he has observed technically with the ball.

"He was absolutely ridiculous," he exclaimed. "I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"We have a family group chat and I just put in 'Marcus Rashford is absolutely ridiculous'. Having Marcus Rashford at the club, he's someone for me to look up to."
