Scott Parker praised **Arsenalfor their functionality and stability under Mikel Arteta as he prepares to clash with the Premier League table toppers at Turf[**Moor](https://www.vavel.com/en/football/2025/09/23/burnley/1234919-burnley-1-2-cardiff-city-cardiff-cause-shock-upset-against-premier-league-opposition.html)on Saturday with his **Burnley**outfit.
The Gunners became the first top-flight side in English history to win six games in a month without conceding a single goal. Their reliance on set-pieces might receive criticism, but there are not many holes to pick in this team at the moment, and Parker knows that it will be a tough test for his team.
“When I'm watching them, I see a fluid team really. I see an unbelievably well-coached team, a team that solves situations. This is definitely not a team that relies on set-plays. Now obviously, over the start of the season, there's been key moments where they've got wins from set-plays.
“This is a functional team and they're very fluid in the way they play. And defensively, it is really a foundation and probably something we lived by last year. It gives you a bedrock, and they've certainly formed that. This is a top team.
“The game evolves very quickly and it goes through stages and we probably recognize that trend early on this season when we're prepping for this season that you can see the game starting to change a little bit and the game is becoming probably more defensively structured, more solid.
“We'll work on [defending set-pieces] and we'll try and work out how we go best to try and limit their success. Large parts is of course you've got deliveries what nine times out of 10 are on the money. They're obviously well drilled in knowing where they're going. We'll be drilling everything we can to try and work out how we can stop this and how we can be effective.
“They've only conceded three goals which is extraordinary. They're just a very good well structured team and they have a real clear understanding. They've got unbelievable players that in certain moments defensively can change. Mikel has got the confidence in players whatever it may be.”
