Scott Parker comments on the positive performances of Burnley in the last fortnight

Scott Parker is positive about the form of **Burnley**as they prepare to face **Arsenal**on the weekend.

The Clarets have helped fly the flag for the promoted teams from the **Championship**this campaign. They defeated fellow Premier League returners **Leeds United**2-0 a fortnight ago before earning a last-gasp 3-2 victory against Wolves last weekend to increase their points tally from four to ten.

Parker wants Turf Moor to be a fortress, and there is hardly a better test of its credentials than the Gunners.

“It’s been a very good few weeks for us with back to back wins and away wins as well. So there's been a real confidence and a real buzz around the place. It's been good for that really and it's prepared us for obviously a tough game coming up the weekend now.

“It is very pleasing because of sometimes the psychological element of what maybe the results not going your way can pose puts huge pressure on certain fixtures. We didn't get results out of certain games where we were competitive but for one way one reason or another we've not got the points there was games that obviously fell that we have to go and get a result really.

"The three teams that have come up have been very competitive. This is still early part of the season, and there is still a long way to go. The consistency of us and the consistency of many teams will be the defining factor. Some really good early signs certainly from us, which is very encouraging."

*"That's the aim [to make **Turf Moor*a fortress]. That's what we needed it to be. We have an incredible home record over the course of the past 14 months. We've been hugely competitive, fans have been every part of that, and we need to make this place very difficult for teams to come."
