Matty Cash wants to continue the ‘good times’ at Aston Villa

**Matty Cash**commented on recent affairs at Aston Villa on an individual and personal level.

The right back committed his future to the Villans with the signature of a new contract at the start of the week. It capped off a brilliant couple of days for the **Poland**international, who hit the back of the net against **Man City**last Sunday to earn a 1-0 victory for his team in front of the fans at Villa Park.

The new deal will last until 2029, and Cash hopes for many more memorable moments in the Midlands. He has seen the side take leaps forward under Unai Emery, and a slow start to the season seems to have ended as the team have won four Premier League fixtures in a row. Next up are reigning champions Liverpool, with whom they share a tally of 15 points, and a trip to Anfield.

“It’s been great. I love it here. I’ve been here a little while now. I said in my interview the other day that it feels like it’s gone really quick, to be honest. But I’m delighted to have committed my future to the club and hopefully many more years I can stay here and have more good times.

“I’ve enjoyed every step, had a lot of ups and downs, (but) more highs to be honest – especially the last three or four years we’ve done really well, progressed in Europe, had a lot of good experiences together. Playing at Villa Park is great, the fans are really good, so hopefully many more years.

“We go away to Liverpool on the weekend, which is probably harder (than recent games). Results haven’t been great for them, but the quality they’ve got in the team (is high), and obviously going to Anfield is always a really tough game. Hopefully we can keep the form we’re in and go five in a row.”
