David Moyes could be about to make a major shake-up to the Everton starting XI, with a trip to Sunderland coming up on Monday.
Everton are looking for their first win in weeks following back-to-back defeats against Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
The wheels have not come off for Moyes, but it has been a number of weeks since Everton were able to find the back of the net.
Everton News is aware that Everton will look to sign a new striker in January following a poor start to the campaign from the two front men.
Coming up against his former side, the 62-year-old manager will have a big decision to make as to who will start up front.
Moyes has not been impressed by Beto since the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
It could get even worse for the 27-year-old as Moyes has admitted there are a number of players under consideration to start up front.

David Moyes considering big Everton striker switch-up
Everton News columnist Alan Myers has suggested Iliman Ndiaye could play up front for Everton if a big change was needed.

With just one Premier League goal scored between Beto and Thierno Barry, it could well be edging closer to that time.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Moyes admitted that he has considered potentially playing a non-striker up front amid the club’s ongoing issues.
“I will look to see if there’s other options. If I’m not getting what I want, I’m going to look at what else there is,” Moyes said.
“We’ve got two people who are number nines and Ndiaye gives you less of a focal point, gives you very little. It changes how you may have to play and build if we were to do that.
“We’ve got one or two other people who could come into that debate as well. We won’t bury our head in the sand, we will certainly think about it.”
Carlos Alcaraz has also been mooted as a striker option for Moyes as the Toffees struggle to squeeze the best out of their strikers.
Giving Barry a run in the side may be the best option for Moyes to try before resorting to something drastic, but something needs to change.
Everton need to sign a new striker in January
Last week, Everton News reported that Richarlison would be open to an Everton return next year as his own struggles continue in north London.
The current output in front of goal is simply not good enough considering Everton are targeting European qualification this season.

Putting a non-striker up top would be a strong message from Moyes towards his frustrations over his current options.
January cannot come quick enough for the Scot.
Sunderland have some big centre-backs who would eliminate any aerial threat from the likes of Ndiaye or Alcaraz.
However, Everton could cause some issues with runs in behind if Moyes was to consider the change as early as Monday.
