Maybe don't go ring Matt LaFleur's doorbell tonight. He probably isn't giving out any of those big candy bars.
LaFleur, the Green Bay Packers' head coach, was asked about Halloween at his Friday press conference. He wasn't having it.
"I don't give a sā if it's Halloween," LaFleur said. "We're trying to win a game."

That's a classic with some definite meme potential.
It is funny when you take a step back and think about "we're trying to win a game" in the context of meaning something way more serious than a beloved holiday for millions of people, but here we are in 2025 with sports ruling the worlds of many people, including LaFleur.
Also, extra weird: LaFleur has two sons. Hopefully he knows what costumes they're wearing.
The Packers are at home on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers in a game they'll be expected to win. And given that LaFleur is bad-mouthing Halloween, he better go out and win the game.
Maybe what he really needs is a Snickers: "You're not you when you're hungry."
Given his feelings on the holiday, though, LaFleur probably isn't having much candy on Friday. He's too locked in.
Maybe one of his kids will save him some candy to eat as a bit of a victory celebration on Sunday evening, if the Packers take care of business.
