“Coach Is Wrong Here”: NFL Fans Rip Dolphins Coach After Sideline Scream Fest with RB Ollie…

The Miami Dolphins’ nightmare season hit a new low on this Thursday night prime-time clash. Every time Scoreba made enough of an upset, but this time the crowd at Hard Rock Stadium saw a scream fest between RB Ollie Gordon and running backs coach Eric Studesville.

During Miami’s 28–6 flop show against the Ravens, rookie running back Ollie Gordon got flagged for a phantom tripping penalty that wiped out a massive gain. The call was bad enough. But what happened next on the sideline turned into a viral meltdown that has fans torching the coaching staff.

Gordon slipped while trying to block Ravens linebacker Mike Green. His feet went out from under him, and Green tripped over his body. The refs called it intentional tripping and punished him with a 15-yard personal foul. The replay showed Gordon didn’t stick his leg out. He just ate surf at the worst possible time.

Even Prime Video rules analyst Terry McAulay blasted the call, saying Gordon hit Green with his torso, not his leg, and didn’t actually block him. The announcers agreed. Fans did too. But when Gordon returned to the bench, Coach Studesville wasn’t interested in explanations.

The awful penalty erased a 36-yard bomb from Tua Tagovailoa to Jaylen Waddle that would’ve put Miami inside the 10-yard line.

Shocking footage showed Studesville getting in Gordon’s face and yelling at him. Frustrated by the bad call, Gordon ripped off his helmet and shouted back. The sixth-round rookie was clearly furious, pacing, yelling, and slamming his helmet on the turf until teammates stepped in to calm him down.

Everyone knew the flag was absolutely trash. But instead of backing his player, Studesville chose to chew him out in front of the entire stadium. And that set the stage for a social media firestorm.

Once the clip hit social media, fans didn’t hold back their harsh opinion. Most of the heat landed squarely on Studesville, not Gordon.

One fan wrote, “Coach is wrong here, Ollie is clearly heated and knows for a fact he didn’t do anything wrong. Player needs to be counseled, not yelled at.”

Another noted, “We sure he’s yelling at him and not just yelling with him? Absolute bullshit flag.”

A third added, “The refs did blow that call. Dude fell. Like what was he supposed to do?”

And another remarked, “Feel bad for Ollie. That was a terrible call and he didn’t deserve to get chewed out for it.”

At 2–6, Miami’s season is circling the drain. Bad calls happen. But how a coaching staff handles those moments says a lot about the culture. On Thursday, the Dolphins showed they’re not just losing games but also losing the locker room.
