The Los Angeles Rams find themselves in the midst of a heated race for the top of the NFC West, with the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and Rams all with five wins apiece.
In what is sure to be one of the toughest divisions in football, Los Angeles is going to need all the help they can get to propel themselves to the top, and hopefully, a home playoff game.
With the trade deadline just around the corner, could the Rams make a move to put themselves over the edge with roughly half a season to go?
Rams urged to trade for Ravens TE Mark Andrews
Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report suggested the Rams should complete their offense with the acquisition of Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews.
"As mentioned, the Ravens would be smart to part with Andrews now and focus on Isaiah Likely," wrote Gagnon.
"The Rams desperately need a reliable target not named Puka Nacua or Davante Adams. This makes sense as a half-season rental."
Los Angeles doesn't have a receiving threat at the tight end position, with Tyler Higbee taking a few steps back as he's aged. Andrews, an impending free agent, would provide a massive boost to the Rams' already potent passing game.
As for the Ravens, they've got an Andrews replacement waiting in the wings in Isaiah Likely, and are unlikely to keep both moving forward.
In a trade that makes too much sense for each side, it likely wouldn't cost much for the Rams to acquire the 29-year-old tight end.
