**Vitor Pereira**gave his thoughts about trying to turn around the fortunes of Wolves.
The team looked like they would suffer a mauling when they went 3-0 down to **Chelsea**in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, having been on the wrong end of a last gasp winner against **Burnley**last weekend. However, they fought back through a brace from David Moller Wolfe and an early second half strike from Tolu Arokodare to stay in the mix until the end. Could it be a platform to progress?
There have been false dawns before: having drawn 1-1 at Tottenham at the end of September, the side are still winless in the Premier League. However, the head coach continues to keep the faith.
“My work is today, the present, to spend my hours trying to find solutions, to help my players, to help my club, to help the team, and to reach a win to offer to our supporters. This is my life, from seven o'clock in the morning until seven o'clock in o'clock in evening.
“I just know one way to change the situation, and this is working hard every day, trying to convince the team that we have quality, to keep the energy, to go to the next game with ambition, with organisation, increasing our level of tactical organisation, because I believe that the fans deserve, and we deserve, results.
*“In the second half [against **Chelsea*] the players, the team proved that we have quality, ambition. We are united, we are trying everything to get a win and to get results, to fight for the best position in the table. This is the spirit that I want to see, not just in 45 minutes, but in 90 minutes.
“I must keep my focus on the team, on the players, helping them to be better and to get results. Every game is a chance for us to get the result, and this is another chance for us, and we need to get them.
“I believe in the players, and I believe this is a good opportunity to show that they are ready to help the team. We changed the system, and some players were trying to help in another position, and our first half was not good because we conceded easy goals.
*“In the second half we competed with Chelsea, pushing them, creating chances, scoring three goals, and we had chances to score four or five, and just conceded one. It means we can play at this level. What is missing is confidence. We must work every day to be consistent, not to show two faces.*
“We are in conditions to get results. This is the first time in my career I'm facing this kind of situation. I'm resilient. I have confidence in work, in my players. We have conditions to turn over the situation.”
