Daniel Farke will be hoping that his side can take inspiration from Leeds United’s last win against Brighton, as Robert Snodgrass scored a classic goal in a 3-0 victory.
A lot has changed for both Leeds and Brighton since the Whites last claimed victory on the south coast, as the two sides prepare to meet in the Premier League.
Daniel Farke is looking to become the first Leeds manager to secure a Premier League win against Brighton, which would put more daylight between his side and the bottom three.
The game will also see Georgino Rutter face his former side for the first time since leaving Leeds, although Leeds Academy product James Milner will miss out through injury.
Both sides were in League One 16 years ago, when Leeds claimed their last win over Brighton. Robert Snodgrass was the hero on that occasion, as the Whites completed what has become an impossible task by winning an away fixture against Brighton.

Robert Snodgrass was the hero in Leeds United’s last win at Brighton
The League One table after Leeds’ last win over Brighton shows just how far the Seagulls have come in the last 16 years.
The Whites topped the table under Simon Grayson after the game, and Brighton sat in 20th place, just outside the relegation places.
Leeds made light work of their opponents in the last fixture between the two sides at the old Withdean Stadium.

Snodgrass opened the scoring for Leeds after 27 minutes with the pick of the goals, collecting the ball on the edge of the box, after a layoff from Jermaine Beckford, and curling his left-footed shot over the Brighton goalkeeper into the top right corner from 20 yards out.
Beckford then got in on the act with a typically assured finish, latching onto a brilliant long ball from Neil Kilkenny before slotting the ball into the bottom corner with only the keeper to beat.
Leeds rounded off a comfortable win with a goal from Kilkenny, who calmly finished from around the penalty spot, celebrating in front of the sodden Leeds fans in the uncovered away end, as Leeds still wait for another win, 16 years on.

Daniel Farke refuses to be intimidated by Brighton task
Speaking in his press conference ahead of Leeds’ trip to the Amex Stadium, Farke refused to be overawed by the size of the task facing his side.
With Fabian Hurzeler laying out his expectations for former Leeds man Rutter in the build-up, Farke urged his side not to be intimidated by the prospect of facing an established Premier League side.
The Leeds boss said: “You have to give credit to Brighton for what they have done. I think they’re doing a fantastic job as a club.
“They’ve developed into an established Premier League side and are allowed to speak more about Europe than about speaking about a relegation battle, and this is a credit to the top top work they’ve done throughout the whole club, and you have to give credit to them.
“I think it’s fantastic how they have developed. Nevertheless, we also know that we have a chance wherever we go, and for that. We are respectful, but we won’t travel in fear.”
