Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel didn’t instill much confidence among fans with his postgame comments after the team’s latest loss.
On Thursday night, the Dolphins suffered an embarrassing loss at home to the Atlanta Falcons, which featured fans wearing paper bags over their heads while in the stands.

While speaking to the media, McDaniel struggled to put together sentences and ended up saying the word “um” over and over again.
🚨🚨THIS IS INSANE🚨🚨#DOLPHINS HEAD COACH MIKE MCDANIEL SAID UMM 157 TIMES IN HIS POSTGAME PRESSER TONIGHT.
McDaniel used the same six words throughout tonight’s presser:
UM
UH
UGH
AH

McDaniel reacted to the booing fans at Hard Rock Stadium.
“Yeah, personally, you want to dictate the terms. You want to fix stuff, and yeah, it sucks. That sucks,” he said, via the team’s official transcript. “All of that does. But I think it’s a pretty consistent formula of fans enjoy winning, and so our expectation is that we have to do the work and do the right things for fans to enjoy the experience, and unfortunately, we didn’t do that tonight, so we got to get back to work to give them something to cheer about.”
While Dolphins fans have called for his firing, it appears that McDaniel will survive through the remainder of the season.
