Exclusive: Aston Villa and Leeds United among a host of Premier League clubs interested in eight-goal midfielder

PSV Eindhoven’s in-form Moroccan star Ismael Saibari is emerging as a January target for a host of Premier League clubs, TBR Football understands.

Saibari has come through the ranks at Eindhoven and is now emerging as one of the top players in the Eredivisie.

The 24-year-old is a goalscoring midfielder and grabbed 11 goals last season for PSV. This term, he has taken things to another level and already has eight goals and an assist to his name.

We can now confirm that he is emerging as an option for a number of Premier League clubs.

TBR Football can reveal that amongst the clubs to have checked on him in recent times are Aston Villa, Leeds, West Ham, Fulham, Brighton and Everton.

We understand a host of clubs were in Rotterdam last week to see Saibari claim his first-ever hat-trick as PSV secured a famous 3-2 win at rivals Feyenoord.

Our chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, revealed: “Saibari is attracting a lot of attention and his treble last week was special.

“He is one to keep an eye on for January, getting goals in January is something Premier League clubs especially are looking for and he could offer that.”

Saibari joined PSV from Belgian outfit KRC Genk in 2020.

He began featuring for their U21 side, for whom he scored nine and assisted with 13.

A central midfielder by trade, Saibari is capable of playing as a defensive midfielder or as a 10.

He has a keen eye for goal, already scoring eight times this season, while netting 31 and assisting 21 overall for the Dutch outfit.

The Morocco international also has five goals in 17 matches for his country.
