Exciting stadium update reported today as Newcastle United continue to deliberate next move

**Newcastle United fans have been waiting for almost a year now for some form of official update on what's going to happen next with regard to the stadium.**

We were told around this time last year that an update was coming in 'early 2025', but that was then pushed back to 'end of the season', and here we are a year later, and we're no further forward.

There may well have been plenty of progress behind the scenes, but the information coming out to the fans is minimal to say the least.

However, [NUFCBlog have today provided an update](https://www.nufcblog.co.uk/2025/10/31/exclusive-newcastle-eyeing-wembley-feature-as-club-step-up-new-stadium-plans/) on some potential plans that could see Newcastle copy one of the features of Wembley.

Newcastle may re-create Wembley Way

Newcastle United are to create their own version of 'Wembley Way'

-----------------------------------------------------------------

NUFCBlog's update claims Newcastle will build their very own Wembley Way if they opt to move to a new stadium, which is still feeling like the most likely option.

A strip of land leading up to the stadium will be flanked with businesses, similar to how the current STACK operates, with the club taking a cut of the revenues.

NUFCBlog listed some of the benefits of the 'Wembley Way' idea.

* Extend fan dwell time

* Increase non-matchday economic activity

* Increase commercial and partnership opportunities

* Community integration

* Urban regeneration

Existing local businesses aren't going to be happy

--------------------------------------------------

This is an excellent idea for the club, no doubt, but we can expect a lot of pushback from local businesses who are already pointing the finger towards the St James' STACK for eating into their matchday revenues.

Pubs in the city have seen a sharp drop off in sales on a matchday, with so many punters now congregating at the STACK instead of the inner city watering holes.

Should the club build another complex designed to keep fans closer to the stadium, we can already see the uproar that's likely to follow.
