Kaden House, the No. 38 overall recruit in the 2026 class, has committed to Maryland, he tells 247Sports.
The 6-foot-2 combo guard out of Chandler (Az.) Compass Prep is the son of former Arizona State star and NBA player Eddie House and his brother Kalek House is committed to Xavier. In College Park, he sees a staff that believes in him at the next level.
“I believe I can win there and play under a staff that believes in me while also making me the best version of myself,” he said of why he chose Maryland.

House picked Maryland over several schools including Vanderbilt, TCU and St. John's.
House took a visit to Maryland this fall and following a recent visit from Buzz Williams, House will now be a Terrapin.
“The relationship and effort they showed me,” he added of what separated the new Maryland staff. “Buzz is a tough but caring coach and I know he can help me get to where I want to be on and off the court. I just know with Buzz and his staff and the stage of Maryland basketball it gives me a great opportunity to write a pretty cool story and help Buzz in his first recruiting class.“
He's the third commitment for Maryland in the 2026 class joining four-star power forward Adama Tambedou and three-star stretch forward Austin Brown.
House is a tough, strong, athletic and aggressive two-way guard that can score getting downhill and be an impactful defender.
“Toughness and someone who wants to win at a high level,” he concluded of what he is bringing to Maryland.
Maryland now holds the No. 11 overall class in the country.
