When you’re a contender, you do whatever you can to stay on top.
And Broncos fans are feeling so good about this team — 97% believe it is heading in the right direction — that many believe there is potential for competing to win the AFC West and make some noise in the playoffs.
Thinking the Broncos are a Super Bowl contender at this point is a little optimistic — in my opinion — but it’s not hard to believe that with some luck and better refs, there is a chance to go deep into the playoffs.
For those reasons, 58% of Broncos Country thinks this team may want to shore up some players before the trade deadline.
The question of the day, then, is which players should the Broncos be buying? A guard to fill in for Ben Powers, who is out for significant time with a biceps injury?
Another Wide receiver? There were [rumors earlier this week](/denver-broncos-news/162143/broncos-trade-deadline-wide-receiver-shaheed-fowler) that wideouts were connected to Denver, but perhaps Sean Payton is feeling confident with the young room after Sunday’s performance.
So far the only move was adding a blocking tight end to the practice squad (for now), but never say never with tight ends and Payton.
