Jones, named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year at Harvard, was an offseason award winner in New England after joining the team a year ago.
"It's been a quick transition," Jones said on Wednesday. "I found out Monday, packed up, and I knew I had to get here as quickly as possible, get in the playbook, try and meet the guys, and get rolling here."
In Kansas City, Jones was with former Chiefs assistant GM Mike Borgonzi, now GM with the Titans.
It's one of the reasons Jones believes he's now in Tennessee.
"I do think so," Jones said of Borgonzi. "He was familiar with my body of work in Kansas City, and we were relatively close there. So yeah, I think that's a big part of why I'm here."
