Arsenal will end the weekend on top of the Premier League table regardless of the result against the Clarets, and remain the big favourites to win the league for the first time since the 2003/04 season.

However, there is a concern, as six Arsenal players risk being suspended for some crucial games coming up, with the Gunners playing against Tottenham, Chelsea and Bayern Munich over the next month.

6 Arsenal players at risk of reaching 5 yellow cards

In the Premier League, the rules are that if a player receives five yellow cards in the first 19 games of the season, they will get a one-match ban. There are currently six Arsenal players who have seen yellow, and they all risk getting banned over the next month if they end up picking up more yellows.

The most at-risk player is defender Riccardo Calafiori, who has seen three yellow cards so far this season, if he were to be given two more, he would get a one match ban, and with games against the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and Bayern Munich coming up over the next month, it could be a concern.

Jurrien Timber is next up, as the Dutch defender has two yellow cards so far this season. Furthermore, he plays a physical game, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Timber pick up three more yellows over the next month or so, meaning he could miss one of those crucial games too.

There are four Arsenal players on one yellow card currently; Viktor Gyokeres, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Martin Zubimendi and David Raya. All four will need be careful not to rack up more bookings, as they could be closing in on a ban too.
