But can anyone go one better today and make it a hat-trick for the Seagulls?
Here we look back at five Albion players who have scored league hat-tricks at the Amex.
We do so with a nod to Leandro Trossard, who scored three in a friendly against Espanyol, and to Raheem Sterling, who completed an awayday treble at the venue before empty stands with Manchester City.
And to Toni Duggan and Beth Mead, who have both graced the stadium with hat-tricks for England’s Lionesses.
The first hat-trick at the Amex was by Leo Ulloa in its second season as he scored three in a 4-1 Championship win over Huddersfield in 2012-13.
Ulloa headed in during the first half from Andrea Orlandi's cross but James Vaughan levelled from close range.
Things really took off in the second period. Ulloa scored with a majestic header, then rounded the keeper for his third before David Lopez converted a penalty.
The hat-trick was completed in front of the South Stand after the teams had changed ends at kick-off.
Albion were in the thick of a two-from-three promotion race in the later stages of the 2015-16 season when Tomer Hemed collected his matchball.

They really turned up the heat on rivals Burnley and Middlesbrough with wins by 4-0 over QPR and 5-0 against Fulham in quick succession.
Hemed set the ball rolling against the Cottagers with a penalty and his treble included a finish from Anthony Knockaert’s cross.
Knockaert also scored and there was a rare but popular goal from Bruno at a set-piece.

Albion narrowly missed out that season but Glenn Murray’s hat-trick against Norwich in the following campaign is widely seen as one of the big moments on the way to promotion.
He dispossessed goalkeeper Michael McGovern for the opener, added a far-post header and a simple finish and saw Lewis Dunk and Knockaert complete the tally on a day of three assists by Jiri Skalak.
Those hat-tricks were all in the Championship. Evan Ferguson became the first Albion player to score a top-flight hat-trick at home a little more than two years ago.
He equalled a feat performed by Peter Ward, Gordon Smith and Trossard, all in away games, as Albion beat Newcastle 3-1.
There was also a league hat-trick by an Albion player – albeit a future Albion player - at the Amex.

Arsenal youngster Chuba Akpom marked himself out as one to watch with a treble for the Gunners’ under-23s in their league game against Albion back in December, 2014.
Christian Walton was the goalkeeper in the firing line as Arsenal, whose side included Alex Iwobi and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, won 4-0.
