Last summer, Nottingham Forest made an offer for Sevilla’s José Ángel Carmona, but the move didn’t materialise.
Back in August, we covered claims from Spain which stated Nottingham Forest had reached an agreement with Sevilla. In the end, the right-back wasn’t keen and turned down the Reds’ offer.
Last month, José Ángel Carmona said Nottingham Forest’s offer was financially attractive, but he wasn’t ready to leave Sevilla.
The Premier League side haven’t forgotten about the fullback if a report from Ficherio is to be believed.
José Ángel Carmona has become an ‘undisputed starter’ this season and his performances for the La Liga club aren’t going unnoticed. It’s claimed Nottingham Forest are still thinking about him.
Having offered around €10m last summer, the report explain Sean Dyche’s side would be willing to improve their offer this time. There’s no mention of the fee they could propose to Sevilla.
This claim is relayed by Vamos Mi Sevilla FC, who then state Nottingham Forest could reach around €18m including bonuses. If they were to make this offer, the outlet claim it’ll be a ‘welcome boost’ for Sevilla’s finances.
This indicates Sevilla are open to entertain bids, but the report explain the final decision on potential transfer lies with José Ángel Carmona.
