Just 15 years old, Lacine Megnan-Pave is making a major impact in French youth football. The Montpellier teenage striker has exploded in recent months, and expectations for his future are very high.
The youngster’s potential has put several top clubs across Europe on alert, with FC Barcelona among his admirers.

Indeed, according to Sport.fr (h/t SPORT), Barcelona and Arsenal are among the big clubs that are closely following Megnan-Pave and his progress at Montpellier.
Megnan-Pave stands out for his physical presence – 1.87 metres tall and weighing 77 kilograms.
As per the report, the 15-year-old has impressed with his maturity and remarkable statistics: 15 goals and 12 assists in 24 matches with the U-17 team last season. This year, he has already been promoted to the U-19 team.

Given his exploits, Barcelona and Arsenal have taken note of the young attacker and are keeping a close eye on his development.
Meanwhile, Montpellier are determined to keep hold of its rising star. The French club intend to offer him a three-year professional contract as soon as he turns 16, along with opportunities to train occasionally with Zoumana Camara’s first team in Ligue 1.
For now, the teenage prodigy also remains totally committed to his boyhood club, as he recently said:
“Montpellier is my club. Since I was a child, I have been going to matches at the Stade de la Mosson. I would love to play on that pitch and in the Champions League with them.”
But with top clubs like Barcelona and Arsenal sniffing around, time will tell whether he continues in France or opts for one of Europe’s footballing giants.
