Arne Slot is under immense pressure at Liverpool.
The Dutchman has led his team to six defeats in their last seven games across all competitions, with Liverpool’s hopes of retaining the Premier League title slowly slipping away day by day.
The Reds’ next top-flight game is against Aston Villa on Saturday evening, with many expecting it to be a make-or-break fixture for Liverpool’s title chances.
Unai Emery’s men have been in a good run of form recently, but since Slot chose to rest most of his senior players against Crystal Palace earlier in the week, they should be ready and raring to go.

However, that hasn’t stopped fans from questioning whether Slot still has a future at Liverpool, with a new report emerging on his future.
Fenway Sports Group are still backing Arne Slot to succeed at Liverpool
Liverpool are known for sticking by their managers until the situation becomes untenable.
Most of their managers survive for way longer than most expect them to, but this has always been Fenway Sports Group’s way of doing things.
And, even though the pressure is mounting upon Slot’s shoulders, it seems like FSG are still backing the Dutchman to succeed.
That is, according to a report from the Daily Mirror, who share that Slot ‘retains the backing’ of FSG.

However, since Liverpool have now lost six of their last seven games across all competitions, Slot is ‘under pressure’ for the first time since making the move to Anfield last season.
Other clubs, such as Nottingham Forest, have already had three managers in charge of them this season, but evidently, that isn’t the FSG way, and in the long run, Liverpool will be much better off for it.
Arne Slot doesn’t deserve to be relieved of his duties by Liverpool any time soon
There’s obviously no hiding from the fact that Liverpool have had it rough recently.
Even though Liverpool’s 5-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt showed how good they can be, they just can’t seem to do it consistently.
Indeed, the Reds’ start to the 2025-26 season was impressive as they won all five of their opening Premier League games, but in reality, they just got lucky with their last-minute winners.
However, the fact that they beat Arsenal cannot be forgotten about, and once all of their new signings finally get settled and Slot figures out his best starting XI, things should start to go swimmingly.

If Liverpool perform like they did in October over the next few weeks, that’s when questions should start to be asked.
However, with everything that is going on at the moment, it feels far too early to be thinking about getting rid of Slot.
