Nottingham Forest winger Jota Silva has been labelled ‘inadequate’ by Beşiktaş manager Sergen Yalçın.
That’s according to Squa Medya on X, relaying information from journalist Firat Gunayer. He says the Beşiktaş manager is completely unimpressed by the Nottingham Forest loanee.
Silva joined the Turkish side on loan in the summer transfer window. He was keen to leave Nottingham Forest after barely featuring under Nuno Espirito Santo.
He’s barely featured for the Turkish side this season, though. His current tally is four appearances and one goal in the league. He’s also not started a game only featured in 13% of the minutes.
That, it seems, might be down to Yalçın. Gunayer reports that he believes the Nottingham Forest loanee is ‘inadequate’. Yeni Izmir also report that he was unhappy about the signing in the summer.
They relay information from commentator Serdar Ali Çelikler. He reports that Yalçın was ‘preparing to resign’ after Silva arrived from Nottingham Forest. He didn’t want the winger during the summer.
The Beşiktaş manager was on the verge of seeing the threat through, too. But was convinced against doing so by his close friends Candaş Tolga Işık and Sinan Engin.
