Each week, we’re going to try and be better. To some degree, we had success with our NFC West Bold Predictions in Week 8. Of course, though, we want to be better this week. With that in mind, here are two bold predictions for each NFC West team as we head into Week 9.

Williams Hits a 100

While it’s been a solid season for Kyren Williams, his season high in rushing yards is 94. Aside from that, Williams has finished with between 54 and 77 yards as he continues to be the lead back for the Los Angeles Rams. In a favorable matchup the Saints this week, Williams is in position to hit the century mark for the first time in Week 9. The second half of the week will likely be the Rams controlling the clock, and that means 100-plus yards for Williams.
Ferguson Gets Another Touchdown
It’s been a slow start to Terrance Ferguson’s professional career, but he did catch a touchdown pass two weeks ago. Following the Rams’ bye week, the thought process is that Ferguson will emerge and find the end zone for the second straight game. The skill set is there, and Matthew Stafford continues to play at a high level.

49ers

CMC Gets 150 Combined Yards
It’s been a rough start to the season for Christian McCaffrey, but things should get better with Brock Purdy back. McCaffrey has a favorable matchup against the New York Giants this week, and I’m looking for the 49ers offense to get back on track. He’s played a key role as a receiver, but the thought process here is that he continues while his efficiency on the ground picks up.

Jennings Gets 100 and a TD
The New York Giants secondary is a mess and in the bottom five of opposing defenses against wide receivers. Jauan Jennings gets Brock Purdy back this week, and with Ricky Pearsall and Brandon Aiyuk still out, he’s going to be the dominant receiver. Let’s look for him to hit the 100-yard mark while catching a touchdown.
Seahawks

Walker Hits the Century Mark
Kenneth Walker has been busy from a workload standpoint, but the efficiency hasn’t always been there. That’s not to say he isn’t an explosive option, and this week he has a favorable matchup (both game flow and from a defensive standpoint) to take advantage of. Coming out of Seattle’s bye week, let’s look for it to happen.
Kupp Has His Best Game
It’s been a rough start to Cooper Kupp’s career with the Seattle Seahawks. He only has one touchdown on the season, with his best game being six catches for 59 yards. Coming out of the bye week, in a good matchup, I’m looking for Kupp to find his groove.
Cardinals

Harrison Hits 100
By default, it almost has to happen. The talent and health are there coming out of the bye week, but the performance hasn’t been on consistent basis. Kyler Murray returns this week for a favorable matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, and someone has to produce through the air. It should be Harrison.
McBride Catches 10
We know that there’s going to be a lot of offense and air yardage generated by the Cardinals against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. A lot of that is going to come from Trey McBridge, as he has been the most dependable option. I’m looking for him to catch 10 passes on Sunday.
