There are no shortage of edge-rusher-needy teams keeping their eyes on the Las Vegas Raiders' Maxx Crosby and the Cincinnati Bengals' Trey Hendrickson.
Crosby and Hendrickson are two of the best edge rushers in the league and teams would be lining up around the block to acquire their services at the trade deadline.
That said, reports have suggested that neither one is available, but not everyone is completely buying it.
Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson revealed that an NFC talent evaluator he spoke to thinks Crosby could be had "for the right price."
“I still think for the right price, Crosby could be on the move,” the evaluator said to Robinson. “First and a pick swap, most likely.”
Robinson goes to say that he thinks we shouldn't rule out a Hendrickson trade, either, although he does think that Cincinnati's desire to move its best defender may depend on what happens Sunday, when the Bengals meet the Chicago Bears and could either move to 4-5 or 3-6.
"I still think there’s a chance that Cincinnati Bengals edge Trey Hendrickson gets traded in a big Monday move, but it may be dependent on the outcome of Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears," he said. "If the Bengals win that one, it could put Hendrickson on ice as Cincinnati tries to claw to the top of a messy AFC North."
The San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles are sure to have interest if Hendrickson and/or Crosby hit the trade block, as all three teams have a massive need at edge rusher, although San Francisco's is a bit less dire after the Keion White trade.
The Cowboys have reportedly shown interest in Hendrickson and have called the Raiders about Crosby, and the Niners have reportedly shown interest in Hendrickson, so we know those teams would get involved.
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman can never be ruled out for anything by default, but based on the rumor that he'd throw three first-round picks at Myles Garrett, who is not expected to be available, we know he'd be open to adding Hendrickson or Crosby.
Again, based on everything we've read in reports, it remains unlikely that Crosby and/or Hendrickson will be moved, but Robinson at least cracks the door slightly ajar for a blockbuster trade that the Eagles, Cowboys and 49ers would almost certainly be willing to make.
