The Chicago Bears are officially halfway through the 2025 regular season, sitting at one game above .500 with a 4-3 record. With the second half of the regular season set to begin this weekend, the quest to make a push for the playoffs is officially on as the Bears take on the Cincinnati Bengals in week 9.

With a roster that's shown it can produce results, the front office could decide that if the opportunity to add more talent presents itself, a trade could be made. Projected to have seven to eight draft picks in 2026, general manager Ryan Poles could decide to strike a deal if it means adding a pass rusher or piece to the secondary.

For this episode of the Halas Beat, hosts Usayd Koshul and Steve Letizia discuss how the trade deadline could shake out for the Bears and also, what to expect if a deal is actually made. Usayd and Steve also discuss what Austin Booker's return on Sunday means for the defensive line.
