Manchester United could record their fourth consecutive victory today with a win over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Ruben Amorim has named an unchanged starting XI for the first time since he was appointed United boss exactly a year ago today, hinting at the confidence he has in the team.

Today could be another huge step forward for the Reds, but the game will not be available to watch on TV in the UK due to the 3pm blackout rules.

The 'blackout', which covers all 3pm fixtures and prevents any football match from being aired live in the UK between 2.45pm and 5.15pm on a Saturday, was established in the 1960s to safeguard lower league attendances. However, it has recently been embroiled in controversy following a decision to suspend it during the coronavirus pandemic.

Supporters opposing this rule will have to tolerate it until at least the 2028/29 season, according to the new TV deals agreed by the Premier League and EFL in 2023. The rationale for scheduling matches at this specific time, however, dates back to an 18th-century law.

United head into today's game in sixth position in the table with Forest languishing in the relegation zone.
