Nuno Santo has dismissed reports suggesting that Lucas Paqueta is set to leave West Ham at the end of the current campaign.
The Brazilian midfielder indicated earlier in the week that this would be his final season as a Hammer, having moved from Lyon to east London in the summer of 2022.
However Santo, addressing the media during his Newcastle pre-match presser Insisted that his priority was the "here and now", and not what may or may not happen several months from now.
"We have too many other things to be worried about and committed to solve," responded Santo when asked for his thoughts on Paqueta's comments. "He's here today, he will be here tomorrow, he will play on Sunday and help his team-mates play a good game."
Meanwhile Santo confirmed he will be without the trio of Ollie Scarles, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Niclas Fullkrug for the Magpies' visit on Sunday.
"We are going to face a very good team that are in a very good moment," he said, reflecting on the task ahead. "Lately they [Newcastle] have been producing fantastic results and performances and Eddie [Howe] has a fantastic squad and knows how to get the best out of them."
