Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has explained his team selection ahead of today's Premier League game against Nottingham Forest.

Amorim has named an unchanged starting XI for the clash at City Ground, the first time he has done so since he was appointed United manager exactly a year ago today.

Harry Maguire has come back into the squad having missed last weekend's win over Brighton through injury. The England international has been named on the bench with Leny Yoro keeping his place alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw.

Amorim was asked about Maguire's inclusion in the squad and his team selection ahead of kick-off, telling MUTV: "We don't have a starting XI, we have 11 players who are going to start this game, the next one we don't know. We need everybody, we all want to win the game, and when we win the game it's not just the starting XI. If we remember, some of the games they are the ones (the substitutes) who win the game.

"We are confident as a team and a club. Our fans have more confidence but we need to forget what we did in the past, we need to do it all over again against a very tough opponent and a manager who has a huge impact when he changes teams.

"We are playing for Manchester United, we are in a good moment so let's hold to that. We want to win but it's what we want to do in the game. We are learning from our mistakes so we need to maintain our level."

United enter today's game in sixth position in the table with Forest languishing in the drop zone.
