Yoane Wissa, Lewis Hall & Tino Livramento - Newcastle United injury list & expected return dates.

The Magpies beat Fulham 2-1 in their last league outing and head coach Eddie Howe has been able to keep his squad fresh after making eight changes for the 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

We take a look at Newcastle’s injury list and each player’s expected return date:

Lewis Hall

Hall felt his hamstring during the 4-0 win over Union Saint-Gilloise in the Champions League and has missed the last four games.

What’s been said?

Ahead of the West Ham match, Howe said: “Yes, he's very close. I think he hasn't trained with us yet, so hopefully he'll be training with us today for the first time. We'll see how he looks.

“I think he's worked really hard, he's looked after himself, he looks in really good shape but then we have to introduce him back into the squad at the right time.”

United initially feared Hall would be out longer-term.

Speaking recently, Howe said: “Yes, the second scan was good news. There were different scales of time he could be out, it's the shorter time. So we hope he'll be back during this period of games we have before the next international break.

“We don't know exactly when that will be, but we expect him to, if he doesn't suffer any ill effects from anything that he's doing, to be back at some stage. And as I said from the first scan, that might not have been possible.

“So good news, he's such an important player for us and hopefully we can keep him fit.”

Expected return date

West Ham United (A) 02/11.

Yoane Wissa

Wissa joined from Brentford for £55million on September 1 but just over a week later suffered a knee injury on international duty with the Democratic Republic of Congo. The 29-year-old is yet to make his debut for Newcastle.

What’s been said?

Wissa won’t return for the trip to West Ham United and remains a doubt for next week’s fixtures against Athletic Bilbao and Brentford.

Howe said: “Well, it's definitely not West Ham. He's working very hard, he's on the grass, and he's getting the fitness work in now that he needs.

“I'd say he's not close to training with the group at the moment. Not through injury, but through fitness and making sure now we build his robustness. I'm not trying to be evasive. I don't know when the moment will be when he's back with the squad.”

Expected return date

Tino Livramento

Newcastle feared the worst when Livramento was stretchered off with a knee injury during the recent defeat to Arsenal.

Livramento suffered an ACL injury when at Southampton but further assessment has revealed the full-back has avoided a repeat, though will still miss up to eight weeks of action.

What’s been said?

Howe said on Tuesday: “I'd say he's still on track. I think the two-week international break dictates that he won't be able to bring that forward by two weeks. I think we're looking at the Manchester City game for him as a pencilled-in date for hopefully that he can be available for.

“But he's doing well. He feels really good. There's no adverse reaction to his injury.”

Expected return date

Manchester City (H) 22/11.
