Myles Garrett has played at a high level this season. The 29-year-old has 31 tackles and 10 sacks. He also recorded five sacks in the loss to the New England Patriots. Garrett leads the team in impact plays and has 15 tackles for loss.
Garrett’s offseason was rocky. He requested a trade and publicly pressed the Browns. Talks broke down and he refused to negotiate at one point. In March he changed course and signed a four-year, $160 million extension. The deal keeps him in Cleveland through 2030.

Trade chatter returned as the Browns stumbled to a 2-6 start. Teams checked in on Garrett, and Philadelphia was linked as a possible suitor. But sources pushed back on the rumors.

Any trade for Garrett would be costly. Industry estimates say it would take at least two first-round picks. The Browns have made it clear they value Garrett and see him as a cornerstone. At the same time, Cleveland has other players drawing interest ahead of the Nov. 4 deadline. The team sits in a difficult spot at 2-6. That record has prompted calls on multiple Browns assets.
On the quarterback front, the Browns had been mentioned in connection with Shedeur Sanders. Reports suggested Cleveland once viewed Sanders as a dream trade target. That talk exists alongside the Garrett headlines. For now, the Browns are likely to hold their star pass rusher.

Fans and teammates have expressed support for Garrett publicly and privately. The team will decide on other moves as the deadline nears.
