If you happen to see the James Madison Dukes on the schedule of your favorite college football team, chances are that a little fear will strike your heart.
The Dukes have been one of those teams that isn’t afraid to go toe-to-toe with the top programs of the sport. Think of them as this generation’s version of Appalachian State.

This past Tuesday, James Madison would move to 7-1 on the season after a dominating 52-20 win over Texas State in Week 10.

But that’s not the conversation we’re here for. On Friday, it was revealed that the Dukes are bringing a heroic look to their uniforms when they meet Washington State on November 22nd.

Dukes, Assemble
Brett McMurphy of On3 Sports shared on Friday that the Dukes will be wearing Marvel superhero-themed helmets on November 22nd.
💥 James Madison will wear Marvel super hero-themed helmets vs. Washington State on Nov. 22. One side will feature JMU’s block logo, players will choose 1 of 5 Marvel heroes – Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor or Black Panther – for other side of helmet pic.twitter.com/IoFc5Az5RF

This news warms my little nerd-sports heart. Players can choose from Thor, Black Panther, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man as the character they will represent in the game against Washington State.

The only thing that would make this more epic is if the university could somehow get Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. to the game.
Imagine the biggest stars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe checking out a college football game, but it’s James Madison and Washington State.
Honestly, that sounds exactly like something Steve Rogers would do. But there’s no way Tony Stark is coming to a college football game.

I do a best uniform combinations of the week story here at TBL for each week of the college football season. It’s safe to say that the Dukes are going to be the top look when November 22nd rolls around.
There’s just one problem with this look, though. The Dukes cannot lose this game with heroes on their helmets. The pressure is on.
