'It needs looking at' - Nottingham Forest duo slam 'silly' decision that cost them win vs…

Nottingham Forest 2-2 Manchester United match reaction and review

Man Utd came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Amad Diallo scored late on to salvage a 2-2 draw for his side at the City Ground, after Forest had scored twice in the space of 90 seconds to turn the game on its head. United led at half-time through a Casemiro header before Gibbs-White and Nicolò Savona scored shortly after the restart to complete a remarkable comeback for the home side.

In the end, the draw felt like a fair result, though the manner of the result aggrieved Forest. United's first goal came from a controversial corner kick when it appeared Savona had kept the ball in play, only for the set-piece to be given. Casemiro headed in to give his side the lead and Forest were outraged by the decision that led to the corner being awarded.

Forest duo slam corner decision

Speaking after the 2-2 draw on Saturday afternoon, Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White bemoaned the 'silly' nature of the Manchester United goals, in particular the first after the controversial nature of the set-piece.

"To get a point is good but the dressing room is frustrated not to get all three," he told Sky Sports. "We conceded two silly corners (from which they scored), I don't think the first one was even a corner. From where I was standing, I was pretty far away, all the boys were saying at half-time the ball hadn't gone out. It's something that needs looking at because it has cost us two extra points today. It's time to kick-on. We need to start getting more points."

Those thoughts were echoed by head coach Sean Dyche, who was held to a draw in his first home league match in charge of the club. Speaking to Sky Sports he said: "It's not inconclusive. I've seen it back. That's two decisions that are not right that have gone against us. They give corners that aren't corners. They gave one last week and one this week. It's a really poor decision.

"That decides a lot. We are fighting for our lives to get up the table."
