Sean Dyche has had little more than a week in the Nottingham Forest job but already he will be well aware of one of the key issues he must address.
The Reds are still searching for their second Premier League win of the season. They almost got it in Dyche’s first home league match in charge, but a familiar problem proved costly.
Forest claimed their first Premier League point under Dyche by drawing 2-2 with Manchester United at the City Ground. But they perhaps ought to have taken all three points.
They did well to fight back after falling behind Trentside. Whatever Dyche said at half-time, when his team were a goal behind, clearly worked.
The Reds came out fighting after the interval and they turned the match on its head. Goals in the space of two minutes from Morgan Gibbs-White and Nicolo Savona put Dyche’s side in control.
But Forest’s set-pieces struggles have dogged them for some time - pre-dating Dyche’s appointment. And they were on show again on this occasion.
United scored the opener from a disputed corner. Replays suggested Savona had kept the ball in but the officials awarded a flag-kick.
It was the same story as last weekend. Bournemouth had opened the scoring when they found the net from a corner that should not have been given.
The Reds were furious then and they were again as history repeated itself. Even so, they still should have dealt with the situation better.
Having battled so hard to take the lead, another set-piece cost them toward the end. It was a great strike from Amad Diallo, but it came from another dead-ball situation.

There was a lot to like about Forest’s display, particularly in the second half. Dyche definitely has positives to build on, but he also has a key problem to address.
