Nakobe Dean proves he delivers massive impact more off the field than on it

While Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean is a stellar defensive player on the field, his heart and work off the field is more impressive than any tackle he makes.

The NFLPA named Dean as the Week 9 NFLPA Community MVP for hosting a Community Giveback Doubleheader. Dean has a foundation called " Kind Hearts 4 Lyfe Foundation" that focuses on "providing free dental care for students and donating 1,000 winter coats, meals, and health services to families in need."

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Dean supplied 100 free dental cleanings and screenings to kids. His foundation also donated 1,000 winter coats, 600 meals, 300 health screenings, and 200 haircuts to students and families during an event at KIPP Philadelphia Preparatory Academy.

Dean showing a shining example of what every NFL player should be like

The beginning of 2025 was tough on Dean when he tore his patellar tendon in his left knee in the NFC Wild Card game against the Green Bay Packers. After getting surgery on his knee, Dean was not ready to go at the beginning of the season, so he was placed on IR.

Dean made his 2025 debut in Week 6 against the New York Giants, but only played on special teams. He has seen a significant increase in his playing time over the last two weeks against the Minnesota Vikings and Giants, racking up 11 tackles and one tackle for loss.

Stats are great and football is important, but the work Dean is doing off the field for kids and families is truly special. He is making a more significant impact on thousands of lives with his work than the millions who watch him on television.
