Crook believes Ivan Toney is open to returning to the Premier League in January and that a move to Tottenham would appeal to him. However, his high wage demands could prove to be a stumbling block, meaning Spurs may have to stretch their finances to bring him in mid-season. Still, Crook insists that the England international would be a perfect fit for the Lilywhites under Frank’s management.
There is little doubt that Ivan Toney would be an instant upgrade on Richarlison and Dominic Solanke. The 29-year-old has repeatedly proven his ability to score goals consistently, and that is exactly what Spurs need from their #9 right now. His composed presence on the pitch, combined with his knack for finding the right positions in front of goal, would make him an immediate starter under Thomas Frank.
