Browns star could be heading to Broncos in massive trade

The Cleveland Browns are in the midst of their bye week, but that doesn't mean they won't be busy when it comes to making moves.

According to Dianna Russini, the Denver Broncos are looking to add a tight end before the trade deadline. Denver just signed 41 year-old tight end Mercedes Lewis to its roster, but recognize he doesn't solve all of their problems at the position.

Sean Payton had the likes of Jeremy Shockey and Jimmy Graham during the Saints' days of glory, and he'd likely be very intrigued when it comes to having a dynamic pass-catching tight end.

That's where David Njoku comes in. The Miami product is in the final year of his contract, and the Browns have seen tremendous production from rookie Harold Fannin through the first half of the season. It wouldn't be a shock to see Njoku get traded, and Denver would make a lot of sense, as their offense could use one more playmaker.

Considering the Browns are 2-6, there isn't much of a reason to not be sellers at the deadline. Njoku will certainly garner interest from multiple teams, and he be dealt before Tuesday's trade deadline.
