Shedeur Sanders Makes Appearance at Colorado Game During Browns Bye Week

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders made an appearance on the sideline of the Colorado Buffaloes’ game, supporting his father in a matchup against the Arizona Wildcats.

Sanders and the Browns have a bye week, and during his time off, he decided to attend a game at his alma mater.

Deion Sanders is the current head coach of Colorado. He is in his first season at the helm without having his son, Shedeur, or Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter on the team.

The Buffs are off to a 3-6 start this season after losing Saturday’s game to Arizona.

With the Browns, Sanders is stuck in a quarterback battle behind Dillon Gabriel on the depth chart. While streaming on Twitch, he said that he would not be attending the game.

"I'm not coming to CU homecoming," Sanders said. "I can't make it out there. I wish I could though, but it just can't happen. I got treatment out here. I got to get ready. Big ready."

Despite all that is happening in his playing career, the quarterback managed to find some time to visit his father.

"No matter the season, had to pull up on Pops. Family always stands together,” Sanders wrote in the caption of a video he posted to Instagram.

During his final year in Colorado, Sanders threw for 4,134 yards and completed 74 percent of his throws. He had a total of 37 touchdowns and threw 10 interceptions.

He was projected to be taken in the first round of the NFL Draft, but he ended up sliding down to the fifth round.

Gabriel is struggling as the starting quarterback this season, and Sanders could be lined up to get a chance to prove his naysayers wrong with a good performance in the NFL.

The Browns will face the New York Jets on November 9th, a game where the former Colorado player could finally make his NFL debut.
