THE [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/?ref=au) will aim to hold position at the top of the National League Southern Premier Division and continue their unbeaten run when they head to AFC Wimbledon on Sunday.

The Wombles are one point above the relegation zone while Bournemouth are at the summit, with Helen Bleazard’s side moving back to first after their 2-1 win over Oxford United on Wednesday.

That result moved Bournemouth above Watford on goal difference, after the Hornets drew 1-1 with Real Bedford.

But Wimbledon come into the game off the back of a strong 3-0 away win at Lewes, defeating their hosts to ensure they stayed above the relegation zone, as Hashtag United also won in midweek against Billericay.

This Sunday’s game kicks off what could be a big month for the Cherries in the context of the season, with Bleazard’s team set to face Watford at the end of the month, which could prove to be a big game.

But the Cherries will be firmly focused on the test posed by Wimbledon, including top scorer Daisy McLachlan, who has six goals in 11 games this term.

For Bournemouth, Sophie Quirk leads the goalscoring charts with 12, her goal in midweek pulling her two goals clear of Jenna Markham who has 10.

AFC Bournemouth visit AFC Wimbledon on Sunday, November 2, kick off at 2pm at Tooting and Mitcham United.
