Fullback Robbie Ouzts will be eligible to play for the Seattle Seahawks for the first time since Sept. 21 on Sunday.
A fifth-round rookie for Alabama, Ouzts was on the field for 60 offensive snaps and 11 special-teams plays in Seattle’s first three games of the season before sustaining an ankle injury in a 44-13 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 21.
After a four-game stay on injured reserve, Ouzts was restored to the 53-man active roster by the Seahawks on Saturday. That makes him eligible to play in Sunday night’s game against the Washington Commanders.
Ouzts played tight end for Alabama. But the Seahawks converted him to fullback during their offseason program, training camp and preseason before his NFL debut on Sept. 7.

Also returning from injured reserve this weekend is Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Cedric Johnson, an alumnus of Davidson High School in Mobile.
A sixth-round draft choice from Ole Miss in 2024, Johnson played in nine games for Cincinnati as a rookie. A calf injury landed Johnson on injured reserve on Aug. 26, and he missed the Bengals’ first eight games of the 2025 season.
Cincinnati plays the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
While those players will be back on the field, four more with Alabama football roots have been ruled out already because of injuries.
A pectoral injury will keep cornerback Patrick Surtain II (Alabama) from playing for the Denver Broncos for the first time this season. Also out for the first time will be New York Giants cornerback Cor’Dale Flott (Saraland) because of a concussion.
San Francisco 49ers Bryce Young (St. Paul’s) will be out for a second straight game because of a hamstring injury, and that ailment will keep Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (Alabama) on the sideline for the third game in a row on Sunday.
