After Mookie Betts converted the double play in the 11th inning, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was among the first ones to congratulate the Los Angeles Dodgers on winning their ninth World Series title. The Dodgers won the game 5-4 at the end of a game where they mostly trailed until the go-ahead home run hit from Will Smith in the top half of the 11th inning.
World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto saved the day for the Dodgers by throwing 2.2 innings without giving up a run. This included the final three outs while only giving up one extra base hit in that 11th inning.
LeBron took to X and wrote:

Dodgers becomes first team in 25 years to win back to back titles
The Dodgers won the 2024 World Series and entered the 2025 season as the favorites to repeat again. They eventually did so, but not without encountering numerous hurdles.
The Blue Jays pushed them to the brink of elimination by winning Game 5 in Chavez Ravine. However, the Dodgers first won Game 6 3-1 and then in Game 7, they survived several important moments.
One of those included the top of the ninth inning, when Miguel Rojas launched a solo home run to tie the game before Yoshinobu Yamamoto took over from Blake Snell in the ninth inning to record the final two outs and take the game to extra innings. Finally, it was Will Smith's home run in the 11th, followed by another scoreless inning from Yamamoto, that made the Dodgers the first team in MLB history in the last 25 years to win back-to-back World Series titles.
