Nick Woltemade tipped to run riot in Newcastle United vs West Ham predictions

Newcastle United will be aiming to keep the good times rolling when they take on West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday.

Eddie Howe’s side are basking in the glow of three successive wins in three different competitions after defeating Tottenham 2-0 on Wednesday night.

Newcastle United dominated the tie and have now gone one step closer to retaining the Carabao Cup.

Fabian Schar headed in the opener to Thomas Frank’s chagrin, before Nick Woltemade nonchalantly nodded in a second.

Howe made eight changes for the game and still won comfortably, so his strongest side will be feeling fresh ahead of a trip to London to face the hapless West Ham United.

Geordie Boot Boys writers have given their predictions for the fixture right here.

Newcastle to finally get first Premier League away win – Jonathan Gorrie

It would be a major surprise not to see Newcastle United beat crisis club West Ham on Sunday.

While Newcastle’s Premier League away form has been reasonably poor this season (no wins, three draws and a defeat), the Hammers haven’t won at home thus far.

West Ham are in crisis, and the London Stadium is hardly a fortress at the best of times. Eddie Howe was able to rest much of his squad for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup win over Tottenham, so his team heads to east London full of confidence.

Newcastle have to win this one and West Ham have so far shown little to suggest they can stop them.

Prediction: West Ham 0-2 Newcastle.

Nick Woltemade should have a field day vs West Ham – Dan Murphy

Having watched West Ham’s diabolical first-half performance against Leeds United last week, anything short of Newcastle mauling them by at least three goals would be a disappointment.

Nuno Espirito Santo is already cutting a beleaguered figure and his side are absolutely atrocious defensively. Nick Woltemade should have a field day against the worst centre-back pairing in the league.

If Newcastle start as aggressively as they have all season, they could have West Ham blown away within 20 minutes. Jarrod Bowen is the one threat, especially against Dan Burn, but Newcastle should have more than enough to negate his impact.

Prediction: West Ham 1-4 Newcastle United.

Newcastle should be confident against West Ham – James Rutherford

Newcastle United are yet to win away from home in the Premier League this season, but that should change on Sunday.

West Ham United are in terrible form, whereas the Magpies are seriously starting to build up some momentum.

Given the number of competitions and the international break, it is easy to forget that Eddie Howe’s side have won five of their last six games.

There are no easy games in the Premier League, but Newcastle should feel confident heading into this one.

Prediction: West Ham 0-2 Newcastle United.
