Liverpool ended their run of four straight Premier League defeats with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Anfield on Saturday night. Mohamed Salah put Arne Slot's under-pressure side ahead just before the break after a mistake from Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

Ryan Gravenberch then doubled Liverpool's lead around an hour in to seal a crucial three points for the Reds. The result has moved Liverpool up to third in the league standings ahead of Sunday's fixtures.

Liverpool return to action on Tuesday evening at home to Real Madrid in the Champions League.
