Leeds United striker Mateo Joseph is delighted with his move to Mallorca. And the Spanish club are delighted they got him as well.

They explain that after a move to Real Betis fell through this summer, Mallorca made their move. They needed a replacement for Cyle Larin and opted for the Leeds man. He had been stuck in a ‘back-and forth’ with Betis, who refused to match Leeds demands for him.
They ‘seized the opportunity’ to get him, agreeing a simple loan with Leeds for the season. Joseph, ‘disappointed’ with Daniel Farke, elected to make the move. He was convinced by his childhood friend, Pablo Torre. He also signed for Mallorca this summer.
It’s working out well for him so far. He has the ‘full confidence’ of manager Jagoba Arrasate and those around him are seeing the positives.
“In the end, it was a good choice,” a source close to the striker said. And it seems the feeling is mutual, as sources at Mallorca are also keen to praise him.
“We at Mallorca are all happy with him, not only for his work on the pitch but also because he’s an excellent person,” a source at the club added.
“His two goals against Sevilla have given him the peace of mind that every striker needs, because ultimately, that’s how they make a living.”
Arrasate is equally keen to praise the striker, with the newspaper insisting he has ‘unwavering faith in his protégé’.
“I’m delighted with Mateo Joseph,” he enthused.
“He started in a wider position, drifted inside, and created chances. Then, with two strikers, he also performed well. It’s a guarantee to have a player who can perform in different positions, do it well, and be committed. It’s a blessing to have him.”
