Brighton-linked midfielder masterclass – 21-year-old inspires 4-0 comeback

In our [**previous report**](https://sportwitness.co.uk/brighton-in-mix-for-e30m-brazilian-first-bid-resisted-for-versatile-midfielder/) on Brighton’s interest in Allan Elias, we noted that Palmeiras believe Allan’s value could rise if he continues to grow in importance.

It took him one day. The 21-year-old midfielder produced a sensational performance as Palmeiras overturned a 3-0 first-leg deficit against LDU Quito with a 4-0 win at home, booking their place in the Copa Libertadores final.

Allan was the driving force behind the comeback. He provided an assist and won the penalty that sealed the turnaround. Also, he was the team’s main creative outlet during one of the most important matches in recent history, and ended up named man of the match.

As we told earlier, Brighton remain among the clubs monitoring his progress. Zenit had a €20m (£16.8m) offer rejected earlier in the year, and now Palmeiras expect a new bid in the region of €32m (£27m). Scouts from several European sides, including Brighton, have been attending his recent matches.

More [**local reports**](https://somosfanaticos.fans/br/premier-league/allan-chama-atencao-do-futebol-europeu-e-ve-a-premier-league-como-grande-porta-de-entrada) are claiming that Allan reportedly sees the Premier League as an ideal step, viewing a club like Brighton as a gateway to bigger opportunities in Europe. A path similar to that of compatriot João Pedro.

From academy outsider to Libertadores hero, Allan has become one of manager Abel Ferreira’s most trusted players. His rise in value and importance may only strengthen Brighton’s interest as Palmeiras prepare for another major continental final.
